Temple of Artemidos Gorgos

The archaic temple of Artemidos Gorgos was built in the beginning of the 6th century BC and is one of the earliest stone Doric temples of Greece. This was the temple of the patron saint of the city and It is located a short distance from the wall of Neratziha. The impressive and famous pediment of the church is kept and exhibited in the archeological museum of the city, but the visitor can admire the large altar (one of the most well-preserved in Greece) at the archeological site.
