Myrtiotissa
16 km from Corfu Town; the beach is far from the main road and a car is needed to get there; motorists, however are advised to leave their cars a kilometer or so from the beach, as the road is very narrow, and there is very little room for maneuver if two automobiles meet.
Despite the difficult access, the beauty of Myrtiotissa ( or Myrtidiotissa) beach is worth the trouble taken to reach it. Sheer, high cliffs rise round the beach, and they are full of trees and greenery, thanks to the rills flowing through them to the sea.
Myrtiotissa is sandy, with many large rocks embedded on the sea floor. This is an unofficial nudist beach. There are recliners and umbrellas, and a small canteen. A few minutes' walk is the Monastery of the Virgin Myrtidiotissa.
