Giannades , is one of the few prosperous and traditional villages. Ιts history started from the Renaissance till nowadays. Inside the village, small and large houses of families, built during the Venetian occupation (priests, notaries, captains) or the British occupation (middle landowners) and after the Union (1864) (merchants, teachers, etc.) compose an architecture with a distinctive Corfiot color. A part of the settlement perched on the green mountain overlooks the Pantokrator and the view becomes fantastic to the east with the straits of Corfu and the city. The other part overlooks the meadow of Ropa.
