St. Spyridon's Eve

Each year at the Saint Spyridon's Eve, (11-12th of December), every city corner and each kitchen of the locals smells from the traditional doughnut (fried ring all ball shape cake with honey or chocolate). Its a traditional treat, coming from the old times to celebrate the eve of the holy day of  patron Saint Spyridon (protector of the island). At these day also switch on the christmas decoration and sparkling lights of the Corfu town.
